For the welfare of mankind and harmony among all to make service base (seva bhav) of life, the devotees of Maa Bhadrakali make resolution to serve for ‘Maa’ by performing special “Hawan yagya” and pray to Maa that she makes them capable enough to fulfill this resolution. Thus 1st Saturday of English calendar creates the feelings of service in life and beginning the service with enthusiasm and zeal and to get the pleasure out of it. The function ends with the ‘Swachhta Abhiyan’ (cleanliness campaign) from Temple main gate(Mandir Mukhya Dwar) to Shakti dwar at Maa Bhadrakali Chownk.
